March 7 – Soul Power versus Holy Spirit Power

 Acts 4:31:  When they finished praying, the place where they were meeting was shaken. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit…..

 If we go to a huge public rally, there is a lot of energy, vibrancy and zeal going on.  In reality, the thousands of souls together ignite a mass level of soul power so if emotions are high, they cry, they laugh, they are spurred out excitedly. Mass movements are caused by these soul power meetings.  This is the force of soul power.  It unites and ignites to do something new.  After a while, leave the rally, conference and go back to daily living and you will find that high turn very dry.  Why?  Because things in the realm of the emotions do not last.  People’s emotions keep changing, one day they will love you and a few years later maybe hate you!  In the realm of soul power, the demons have more advantage over us to attack us.  Political movements are formed in the realm of soul power.  We see how people fluctuate in politics.  Nothing is steady and nothing will remain.  The greatest adored mass-drawing hypnotic leader can be hated a few years down the line.  We have to beware of three things:

1. We should not depend on our charisma, self-energy, soul power, because it will not last.  People may receive our message in mass emotion, but once they leave, when trials come upon them, they flee.  When you present things in the power of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will help them through the trials and persecutions and teach them wisdom on how to cope.
2. Sometimes, we have heard that black magicians practicing the occult have come to curse people in their meetings.  This all is accomplished when people are moving in the realm of the soul.  Test people for their fruits rather than the gifts meaning, if they have magical powers but their lives are full of evil, it is from a wicked source.  Supernatural gifts can come from the occult as well, which would have diverse side effects.  We hear of strange saddest incidents of someone sacrificing their children because of some occult ritual.  This source is never from the God who created the Universe.  The fruit is the true evidence of God’s power in a life.
3. Living in twisted deeds will bring our downfall. If people live in shady hazes, the evil one on Earth has access to our lives and opens the wrong doors, wrong people who want to use us and abuse us, and we fall into traps and attacks.

 Depend on the Holy Spirit and not on human charisma, charm or soul power.  Live clean and you will experience the rewards of it in time. Do good to all, stop hating, stop lying, raping and robbing and murdering….the list is endless….
